OnePlus, the Chinese brand which created waves with their OnePlus series smartphones the world over and also in India has finally launched their slightly upgraded version of the recently launched OnePlus flagship model, OnePlus 3T in the country. The OnePlus 3T model was launched internationally a few weeks back and the Indian launch has since then been speculated. OnePlus had also launched multiple teaser images across social media channels hinting at the smartphone though it wasn’t revealed whether it would be the OnePlus 3T or would it be launched under some other name in the country, although the chances of that were slim. OnePlus launched the upgraded OnePlus 3T version and then, went ahead and pulled all units of OnePlus 3 off shelves, effectively replacing OnePlus 3 with OnePlus 3T. While the move did make a lot of users angry, for those who had not purchased the OnePlus 3, got an opportunity to lay their hands on an upgraded model for the same cost.
Coming to the features and specifications of OnePlus 3T, as in the other markets, the features and specifications of OnePlus 3T in India are only marginally different from the previous flagship OnePlus 3. The device comes with a few ramped up internals and also promises of future upgrades. Majority of the things stay the same but then , OnePlus has also looked at the aesthetics of the device and launched the OnePlus 3T in a new colour too. On other fronts, the new OnePlus 3T remains just the same. It does seem a little disappointing to see such a minor boosted upgrade to the flagship, just months after the launch but then, the decision has been made and for all OnePlus 3 users, all they can do is wring their hands in agony. As of now, there are no replacement offers by OnePlus so OnePlus 3 users cannot exchange their device for the all new and upgraded version. In all honesty it does seem unfair but then, there’s nothing to be done really. Looking at the features and specifications, is the OnePlus 3T even a worthy upgrade? Let’s check it out!
