3 famous people that changed the world they died young

Jimi Hendrix

Being young is not without it’s drawbacks, nobody takes you seriously whenever you try to change the world, but the same people pester you to do something with your life which is rather ironic. When we say young, we mean people under the age of 25 not 45 or whatever passes off as young in this country.

Not many of us have achieved greatness (unless you consider winning a reality show a legitimate achievement) but those that have, did so against overwhelming odds. Here’s a list of some people who changed the world before the age they could legally drink hard liquor in the state of Maharashtra and died tragically young:

1) Alexander the Great (356 BC- 323 BC)-  This Macedonian King conquered the known world by the time he was in his early twenties. While most people in their twenties are at the very bottom of the corporate ladder, by the time Alexander was in his twenties his armies had advanced as far east as India (which is a really long journey from Greece and the mighty Persian Empire just happened to be in-between). He defeated the Persians and created the largest empire that the world had ever seen. He also named a dozen or so towns after himself and could have very well conquered the whole world if he hadn’t died so young (33). He was undefeated in battle.

2) Tutankhamun (1341 BC- 1323 BC)- This Egyptian is arguably the most famous Egyptian pharaoh ever. His reign was short and he died at just 18, but he is far more famous in death than he was in life. His world tours are extremely and he probably has more fans today than he did subjects during his reign. The discovery of his tomb was one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. King Tut’s curse is one of the most famous modern myths around. The cause for the boy king’s death is still debated after 3300 years, some say he was murdered by his uncle, others say he died of malaria.

3) Jimi Hendrix (1943- 1970)- Despite his music career lasting a mere 7 years (though it isn’t really short by modern standards) Hendrix is considered to be the greatest electric guitarist who ever lived. Some of his most popular songs are Purple Haze, Little Wing and Hey Joe. Hendrix died of a drug overdose at the age 27. Hendrix has been described by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock.
