Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s government in India will complete its first year in office on May 26, 2015. After securing a staggering victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government saw many ups and downs in its 12 months in power. After a span of 30 years, the NDA became the first government to secure a majority on its own, winning 282 seats. Several Cabinet ministers made headlines in this time period of a year, some for their good work while some who fell on the other side for all the wrong reasons.

Bollywood is one such industry which connects well to both sports and political arenas. Political parties across India have some or the other superstar in their party ranks to woo the vote bank. What if both Politics and Cinema are mixed together? How sassy will it sound with some of the top ministers in our country speaking out the best dialogues in Bollywood’s cinematic history?

Here’s how some ministers in the Modi government’s cabinet will look when they mimic famous classic dialogues of Hindi cinema:

1. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India

Rishtey mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah. Movie: Shahenshah, Actor: Amitabh Bachchan.

2. Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance

5. Suresh Prabhu, Railways Minister

6. Venkaiah Naidu, Urban Development Minister

Bade bade shehron mein aise chotti baatein hoti rehti hain. Movie: Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge; Actor: Shah Rukh Khan.

7. Nitin Gadkari, Road Transport and Highways Minister

Kyun thaak rahe ho. Movie: Housefull 2; Actor: Akshay Kumar.

8. Maneka Gandhi, Women and Child Development Minister

Meri khamoshi ko meri kamzori mat samajhna. Movie: None. It’s a commonly used line by women in Indian cinema. 

9. General V K Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs

Saara shere humein loin ke naam se jaanta hai. Movie: Kaalicharan; Actor: Ajit.

10. Smriti Irani, HRD Minister

Tension lene ka nahin, sirf dene ka. Movie: Munnabhai MBBS; Actor: Sanjay Dutt.

11. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Communications and Information Technology Minister

12. J P Nadda, Health and Family Welfare Minister
