Even as rumours of a 4-year leap coming up in Sony TV’s Bade Acche Lagte Hain (BALH) are spreading like wild fire on social networking sites, strong reactions are coming up from fans of the show and fans of one of the cutest television jodi Ram-Priya (fondly called as RaYa). The strong impact of such unwanted tracks in popular soaps is not unknown (remember the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi twist that led to the death of a fan with the death of Tulsi Virani in the show?), but this time social media is proving to be a powerful tool for fans to voice their opinions. So much that, a petition has been created to let the creatives of the show know that the leap is totally unacceptable. “BALH is unique and we do NOT want the same old cliched tracks in this show,” goes the petition.   The show has made a prominent impact on the Indian audiences with the on-screen chemistry between seasoned actors Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. The latest buzz in the town states that a leap will follow the separation of Ram and Priya due to the increasing tensions caused by Natasha and Niharika. It is also said that Priya will have a kid whose demeanor will resemble Ram Kapoor.   Micro-blogging site, twitter, saw a huge outcry of fans tweeting to several handles related to the show for confirmation of the buzz. Fans of the show and of the lead couple tweeted to Sneha Rajani, senior executive vice-president and business head, Sony TV, expressing their disgust over the development. Some of the tweets from the fans are as follows: ‘#BALH a leap?? Seriously?? I mean even if it is just one of the ideas, is that all you got?? Plz do visit the forum once #NoLeapInBALH’   ‘Plz can you forward to Ekta? With no drama, no saas bahu, no dirt, only chemistry between lead pair rocked #BALH’   ‘85% of people watch BALH just for RaYa. Plz don’t spoil that if clueless about storyline, ask us!’   ‘60% in the survey say they will stop following #BALH if the leap happens’   Are you in favour of the leap? Do tell us.
