Lasith Malinga, born on August 28 1983, in Galle, is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. He is well known for his round-action fast bowling. He retired from Test cricket in 2011. He has represented the teams of Tasmania, Kent, Galle, Ruhuna Royals, Melbourne Starts, Dhaka Gladiators and Mumbai Indians along with Sri Lanka.
