Umar Akmal, born on May 26, 1990, is a Pakistani cricketer who plays as a right-hand batsman and a wicketkeeper. He is the brother of Kamran and Adnan Akmal who also played for the national team. Akmal started his cricketing career by playing for the Pakistani team in the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia. Though he is relatively new to the game, Akmal has already made his place on the squad as the third batsman.
