IPL 2013: Controversies have damaged what has otherwise been a good sixth edition

It is six-weeks of glamorous cricket. The problem with the Indian Premier League (IPL) is that it has almost a couple of games every day and unless those games are embellished with performances like David Miller’s whirlwind century against Bangalore, or Chris Gayle’s fearsome assault on Pune Warriors, or Kieron Pollard’s blinder against Sunrisers Hyderabad, even the most hardened fan would be hard-pressed to remember the outcomes of matches that happened less than a week ago.
