SP Chawrasia is the one of the two mens golfer to represent India the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Chawrasia has couple of nicknames which go like Chipputtsia or Chow. The 38-year-old golfer after turning pro in 1997 has won eight titles on Indian Tour and has finished second twice in Indian Open. Chawrasia, who was born in Kolkata, has served as a caddie before becoming a pro. On July 11, the cut-off date for Rio Olympic qualification, Chawrasia was 45th on the in the International Golf Federations (IGF) list and thus made it to the Games. After 112 years golf has been reintroduced as an Olympic sport. So it will be an opportunity for Indian golfers to dazzle the occasion.
