Planet Earth is full of amazing places to visit, many of which happen to be in our very own country. While we dream of traveling to these exciting places at some point or another, there are some marvellous photographers who bring these places to us through their lens. One such photographer is Koushik Chatterjee. He loves to travel across intriguing locales and capture them through his camera. Earlier, we brought to you some of his stunning Varanasi photos. The talented photographer was recently in Kerala where he put his Tamron lens and Nikon Gears to good use. Koushik was kind enough to share some amazing shots and their respective notes with us. Alleppey, the Venice of the East
Alappuzha is also known as Alleppey. The name ?lappuzha is a toponym. ?lam means water and puzha means watercourse or river. It is an important tourist destination in India. The Backwaters of Alappuzha are the most popular tourist attraction in Kerala. A houseboat cruise in these backwaters can be booked. Red represents Rajasic nature
Black represents Tamasic nature
Yellow represents Sattivika & Rajasic nature
Green goes with godliness, white with spirituality, red with ambition and violence, yellow with passivity,and black with evil
Varkala Beach
The beach is mostly popular within foreigners. It is crowded mostly by foreigners in the morning and the noon when they enjoy sun bathing. By sunset the beach is predominated by Indians who come to see the beautiful sunset. Unique along Keralas coastline for its red sandstone cliffs backing onto the beach, the hubbub centres around the North Cliff area of Papanasum Beach. The coastal town of Varkala is perhaps the best backpacker hangout and place to chill for travellers .
Munnar – Switzerland of Kerala
Munnar in Kerala is one of the most picturesque tea plantations in India. Flanked by a stretch of contouring hills carpeted with chartreuse tea plantations and swaying swathes of thick forests, Munnar is blessed with a stunning landscape. The tranquil setting coupled with misty environs lends a wonderful dreamy charm to the hill station, making this Kashmir of South, a tourist hotspot.
