Where in Scotland can you find a stunning view of a high cliff overlooking the emerald blue sea? Well, it is in Neist Point, one of the most famous lighthouses in Scotland.
It is on the most westerly tip of the Isle of Skye near the township of Glendale where the cliff overlooks the North Sea. So if you are visiting Isle of Skye, never miss the Neist Point.
The steep steps leads to the lighthouse, which was built in 1909. Neist Point is famous for its rock formations offering a dramatic landscape for the visitors.
The Quiraing, which is a part of the Trotternish ridge in Scotland’s Isle of Skye, is another attraction for a breathtaking landscape and hiking and walk.
This Trotternish Ridge escarpment has been formed by a massive landslip which has created high cliffs, hidden plateaus and pinnacles of rock. The Quiraing walk is a loop, returning you to the same point (the carpark). It covers a distance of 6.8 km.
The Quiraing is situated in the north of Skye and as you look down from the cliff top you are treated to a panoramic view of the ‘Table’, a flat glassy plateau surrounded by rock formations and cliff overlooking the sea.
