5 people you will miss in upcoming Parliament

The 15th Lok Sabha session has already ended and there’s strong buzz about the 16th Lok Sabha Elections among the masses. While the 15th session had many serious sessions, there were also many goof ups and hilarious moments which shouldn’t have gone unnoticed. Here is a list of those politicians who will be sorely missed in the upcoming parliamentary session in what is being touted as the biggest election for the fate of the country.

1. Dr. Manmohan Singh

The first and foremost person who’d be missed in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections will be Dr. Manmohan Singh. Known for his unquestionable silence, here is a video which would not only stun you, but also amuse you. It is surely going to make you wonder, “Did he actually say that?”

2. Meira Kumar

The speaker of the 15th Lok Sabha sessions, Meira Kumar, is infamous for her feeble ‘Baith Jaiye’ (Sit Down) remarks. Any avid follower of politics would surely miss her presence in the parliament as a Speaker. This rib tickling video is probably a perfect tribute to her ‘Baith Jaiye’ legacy.

3. Laloo Prasad Yadav

Talk about goof ups in Parliament, and no mention of Lalu Prasad Yadav would be grave injustice. Lalu with his Hindi-English, English-Hindi speeches have not only made the parliamentarians hold their tummy but also the common man who would not watch any politician in Parliament but Lalu.

4. Navjot Singh Sidhu

Sidhu is very well known for his amusing couplets and also appalling laugh on various channels on different shows (Read IPL and Comedy Nights with Kapil). This video will show you a completely different side of the player turned commentator turned host turned judge of comedy shows: Sidhu. He contested Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar in 2009, and would definitely be missed in the upcoming session

5. Mamata Banerjee

The chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, is known for his stint as the railway minister. She lacked in primary Hindi skills which made her speeches funny. Her robust and staunch persona made her react to even the smallest remark from the opposition. The presentation of the railway budget had many goof-ups and I’m sure you’ll laugh your heart out when you watch this video. The last lines in the video are quite fascinating, if you get what she means. *winks*

Other notable politicians who wouldn’t be seen in the next parliamentary session are: P.Chidambaram, Pranab Mukherjee. While the former has stepped back from contesting elections this time, the latter is now the President of India.
