Bear Stimulator: Be a bear in this new game will allow you to do so!

Bear game

Have you ever felt an urge to just…be a bear? There’s a game just so you can live this dream.

Developer John Farjay of Farjay Studios has started an online funding campaign to support the creation of ‘Bear Simulator’ – a game which revolves around the user…well, being a bear.

The campaign to gain funds has long crossed its $29,500 goal last night, and now stands at a grand total of $41,456 from 1,506 people.

The game will enable the player to be the bear in first person, so they will only see the bear’s hands. The game’s official tagline goes, “Explore stuff, eat stuff, be a bear!” is the game’s official tagline.

Though there have been games made that centre around bears, the gaming industry has still not created a game where the player can actually simulate a bear. Farjay is building and developing bear Simulator by himself. He hilariously said that recently released games like Grand Theft Auto 5 did not have the option to play as a bear, which was a problem that could be fixed with his creation.

According to him, “It’s quite clear the fat cats in Washington with their stove top hats and contemporary jazz music don’t want us playing as bears. It’s about time to fight back against the tyranny.”

“Sure it may seem like a ‘dumb idea’ or a ‘really dumb idea’ but you can’t honestly tell me you’ve never secretly wanted to be a bear wandering around the forest. That’s just an outright lie,” he added.

The game, which is inspired by Goat Simulator, involves players controlling a bear through a first-person view. The bear usually stands on his two hind legs to look around, but walks on all fours. The Simulator also includes a fighting system that enables players to get rid of animals. Besides this, there is a multi-environment game world with secrets and events, and players would have to encounter many living things – mountain goats are a very important part of this feature, according to Farjay.

According to the online funding campaign, Farjay says that the game enables players to do ‘bear things’ which range from exploring, eating fish and plants, striking down anything, increasing your health, and most importantly, sleeping. This is probably the only game to lay so much importance on the act of sleeping.

Though there were inquiries as to whether the game would include the option of defecating in the forest, Farjay has not decided on that yet. Those who donate to the campaign could get their name in the game, or certain upgrades that include bear skins, and bear shades.

The developer is even considering multiplayer mode gaming.

The game fulfills one’s desire to forget our life goals for a while, and concentrate on eating and making a mess, finally being free of society.

The Bear Simulator is expected to have its PC launch later this year.
