Microsoft Lumia 535: First non-Nokia low budget Windows smartphone set to be launched today

Tech giant Microsoft is all set to launch its first non-Nokia smarphone Microsoft Lumia 535 on November 26. Microsoft revealed the first look of Microsoft Lumia 535 on November 11, 2014.

Tech giant Microsoft is all set to launch its first non-Nokia smarphone Microsoft Lumia 535 on November 26. Microsoft revealed the first look of Microsoft Lumia 535 on November 11, 2014. Microsoft Lumia 535 is the first Lumia smartphone under Microsoft’s own brand name. However the company launched many Lumia smartphones but all those models still carried the Nokia brand. To promote the Microsoft’s latest product, company used the tagline ‘5x5x5’ as the smartphone has a 5 inch screen, 5 mega pixel front camera for selfies and 5 mega pixel rear camera too.

Microsoft Lumia 535 is powered with with 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, along 1GB RAM. The smartphone runs on Windows 8.1 operating system. It features a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS LCD display which has a scratch resistant glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The 3G smartphone boasts of 8GB onboard storage capacity that can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. It also offers Lumia selfie app for selfie lovers.

While unveiling the Lumia 535, the company had confirmed that the smartphone – single will have an estimated price-tag of €110 (around $137/Rs 8,410). Considering the additional import duty taxes, it is likely to be priced between Rs 9,000 and Rs 9,500 in India. The phone can be bought in cyan, bright green, bright orange, white, dark grey, and black colours.
