Nissan Datsun Go+ pre-bookings begin in India

Datsun has started pre bookings for their upcoming model Dastun Go+ which will be launched on January 15. The car was first previewed at  2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The car is India’s first sub-4 meter compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). Nissan India Operations- President Guillaume Sicard said, “We opened pre-bookings for customers who would like to be the early ones to own the new Datsun.” He defined the product as segment-creating compact MPV and said, “The Datsun Go+ is our second product in the market after the Datsun GO and reiterates our commitment to India.”

The multi speciality car is called as a family wagon by  the Japanese company. Datsun GO+ has no diesel as option with petrol motor using the same unit that has found place in the GO hatchback. With 1.2 litre 3-pot mill generates 68PS and 104Nm can be matched up to a 5-speed gearbox. The plus (+) in the car’s name Go + is for the third row. The additional row at the end can also be used for luggage.

The down payment or the booking amount for the car is Rs 11,000 which is refundable. People wanting to book the car in advance can do so at any Nissan dealer across the country, also Datsun promises of rewarding early buyers with a ‘Welcome Pack’. The car has most of the features of their earlier model, Datsun GO. The only difference between the both is the additional row given to MPV.  The car is expected to cost around Rs 4 lakh which will make GO+ come under the list of affordable cars in the country.
