The Day 1 of Asian Games 2014 will see India participate in sporting events like badminton, squash, tennis, judo, shooting, wushu, volleyball, rowing, handball and equestrian. With 18 medals at stake on the first day of Incheon Games, the first medals of the Day 1 is highly dependent from the Indian shooters especially from Jitu Rai who recently won the silver medal in the Granada World Championship that helped him gain a direct entry into the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
