Asian Games 2018, Day 10: India has lodged a protest for 4x400m mixed relay finals. India stated in the complaint that said Hima Das was obstructed by the Bahraini athlete. The protest has been accepted by the jury, hearing tomorrow.

In the debut event of 400m mixed relay, India clinched a silver, finishing behind Bahrain in the Asian Games in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The Indian quartet of Muhhamed. Anas, M R Poovamma, Hima Das and Arokia Rajiv clocked 3 minute and 15.71 seconds, while Bahrain ran away with the gold in 3:11.89.

 Kazakhstan took the bronze in 3:19.52.

It is yet to be established if India would be awarded the gold, should Bahrain be disqualified if the charges are accepted. We will know more when the hearing takes place on Wednesday.

Earlier, in the day, it was a heartbreak from the 18-year-old Hima Das, as she was disqualified in the 200m race semifinals after she started early, which was called in as a foul and therefore faced elimination.
