Bihar Accident: Seven people were killed when an auto-rickshaw they were travelling in rammed into a crane in Bihar capital Patna on Tuesday afternoon. According to the police, the gruesome crash took place near the Kankarbagh bypass in Patna where the crane is engaged in the ongoing metro rail work in the area.
A CCTV clip of the incident shared on social media platforms showed the auto-rickshaw moving at high speed and colliding head on with the crane, which was engaged in the metro rail work in the area.

Another clip showed the mangled wreck of the three-wheeler after the accident. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the horrific road crash.

Reports said the rickshaw collided head-on with the crane at breakneck speed, killing at least four people, including the driver on the spot.
“While four died on the spot, three others died while being taken to the nearest hospital. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination,” the Patna Police said on X, adding that one person was injured in the fatal accident and he has been admitted to a government hospital, it said.
According to local media reports, the deceased include women and children, however, the police have yet to identify the deceased.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the deaths, a message issued by his office said.
