Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024: Four out of the forty Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will got to polls in the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls on April 19, 2024. Gaya, Jamui, Nawada, and Aurangabad constituencies will vote in Phase 1 of the general elections on Friday.

Jamui

• Arun Bharti – Lok Jan Shakti Party – Ram Vilas (LJSP)
• Archana Ravidas – Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)
• Sakaldeo Das – Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)

Gaya

• Kumar Sarvjeet Paswan – Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)
• Jitan Ram Manjhi  – Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular)
• Sushma Kumari – Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)

Aurangabad

• Sushil Kumar Singh (Incumbent) – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
• Abhay Kumar Kushwaha – Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)
• Sunesh Kumar – Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)

Nawada

• Vivek Thakur – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
• Shravan Kushwaha – Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)
• Ranjit Kumar – Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)

Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which is once again in power in Bihar, will be eyeing to repeat its 2019 whitewash where the NDA secured an unprecedented 39 out of 40 seats in this key swing state.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal- United (JDU) as well as other smaller regional parties such as Chirag Paswan’s Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJSP) and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), are also aligned with the saffron party.

These regional parties hold considerable sway in their respective pockets and can turn the tide in the favour of the ruling NDA in the Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024.

Elections for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will be held in all seven phases of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from April 19 to June 1, 2024. Votes will be counted on June 4 and results declared on the same day, the Election Commission has announced.
