Darbhanga Constituency, Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024: Darbhanga is one of the 40 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Bihar and is renowned for its production of mangoes and makhana. Notably, the constituency is considered an area influenced by Yadavs, Muslims, and Brahmins. In the previous general election, there was a tough battle between RJD’s Abdul Bari Siddiqui and BJP’s Gopal Ji Thakur. However, Thakur won the Darbhanga seat with 586,668 votes.
Darbhanga will go to polls in phase 4 on May 13.
As per the election commission, the results for the Darbhanga Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 will be declared 4th June.
The BJP has fielded Gopal Ji Thakur again to contest from the Darbhanga Lok Sabha seat.
In 2019’s Lok Sabha elections, Darbhanga constituency witnessed a magnificent victory of BJP’s Gopal Jee Thakur, who won by bagging 586668 votes. Putting up a brave fight, RJD’s Abdul Bari Siddiqui fell short as he managed to gather 318689 votes only. Interestingly, the total electoral count, for this hot seat of politics, was a record-breaking 965510 votes.
