Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024: Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. Prior to the 2009 Lok Sabha polls, the Madhubani Lok Sabha seat swapped between the Congress, BJP, and the Communist Party. However, since then the saffron party has maintained absolute dominance in the constituency, winning the seat for three consecutive terms in the 2009, 2014, and the 2019 elections.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP’s Ashok Kumar Yadav, retained the seat for the saffron brigade by defeating his nearly rival, Badri Kumar Purbey of the regional Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP), by a thumping margin of 4,54,940 votes.

Yadav secured a massive 5,95,843 votes, amidst an average 53.72 percent voter turnout, while Purbey could only manage 1,40,903 votes.

Elections for the Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency will be held on May 20, 2024– Phase 5 of Lok Sabha polls– while votes will be counted on June 4 and results declared on the same day.
