Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024: Purvi Champaran Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. The Purvi Champaran Lok Sabha seat has been Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stronghold with veteran leader and sitting MP Radha Mohan Singh maintaining a perfect record for the saffron party, winning the seat in all three elections since the constituency was carved out in 2008.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, amidst a nearly 60 percent voter turnout, sitting BJP MP and current incumbent Radha Mohan Singh retained the seat for the third time in as many elections by defeating his nearest rival, Aakash Kumar Singh of the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP), by a margin of 2,93,648 votes.
The BJP MP secured 5,77,787 votes while the RLSP candidate could only muster 2,84,139 votes.
Elections for the Purvi Champaran Lok Sabha constituency will be held on May 25, 2024– Phase 6 of Lok Sabha polls– while votes will be counted on June 4 and results declared on the same day.

Sitting BJP MP Radha Mohan Singh has secured three consecutive victories from the Purvi Champaran constituency, and looks all set for a fourth straight win from the seat in Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024.
On the other hand, opposition INDIA bloc and its regional ally Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), will be eyeing to capture as many seats in Bihar this time as possible, include the Purvi Champaran constituency.
However, the BJP is riding a wave of confidence amid recent developments in Bihar saw the NDA once again coming to power in the state after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s latest volte face.
Elections for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will be held in all seven phases of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from April 19 to June 1, 2024. Votes will be counted on June 4 and results declared on the same day, the Election Commission has announced.
