Congress ‘Destroyed’ Lives Of Past Generations, INDI Alliance Stands ‘Completely Defeated’ In Phase 5: PM Modi In Bihar

PM Modi alleged that the Congress and its allies have "ruined 60 years of the country", and claimed that the opposition "INDI alliance" has been "completely defeated" in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024.

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday launched a stinging attack on the Congress and the INDIA bloc, accusing the grand-old party of “destroying the lives of three to four generations” and claimed that the opposition grouping stands “completely defeated” in Phase 5 of Lok Sabha polls held on May 20 (Monday).

Addressing a slew of poll rallies in in Bihar, Modi alleged that the Congress and its allies have “ruined 60 years of the country”, and claimed that now the opposition “INDI alliance” has been “completely defeated” in the fifth phase of the general elections.

‘Abusing’ Modi their only agenda

In a veiled dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Modi said the only agenda of “these people” is to “abuse” him.

“Someone is saying that they will dig Modi’s grave… Someone is saying that they will bury Modi… The prince of Congress (Rahul Gandhi) wants to see tears in Modi’s eyes. Those who are born with a silver spoon do not know what hard work is. I have heard that someone here is saying that after June 4, Modi will have bed rest but I pray to God that there should not be a bed rest in the life of any citizen of the country. Every citizen of the country should be full of energy but what else can be expected from the successor of Jungle Raj? These people have no issue in this election except abusing Modi,” the Prime Minister said.

INDIA bloc ‘completely defeated’

The PM also asserted that INDIA bloc has been “completely defeated” in Phase 5 of Lok Sabha elections and the country can no longer as per the “whims” of Congress and its allies.

“The country can no longer be run as per your whims and desires. Modi might be a thorn in the eyes of the people of INDI… But Modi is in the heart of the country… Modi is in every heart!,” Modi said at a public meeting in Champaran.

‘Sins of INDI alliance’

Sharpening his attack on the opposition party and its allies, Modi said India of the 21st century can’t march ahead with the “sins” of the INDI alliance.

“In 60 years these people have built big palaces and opened accounts in Swiss banks. You did not have food to fill your stomach, but these people’s cupboards were full of bundles of notes. Your children did not have a school to study, but their children continued studying abroad. The poor were in trouble and difficulty, but it did not make any difference to them,” Modi alleged.

He said that the BJP-led NDA made efforts to stop migration (due to unemployment) from Bihar and ensured the youth of the state find employment opportunities here.

“When Modi came (became the Prime Minister in 2014), toilets and electricity reached every house. It is Modi who has taken the initiative to provide gas to every home, it is Modi who is working day and night to provide tap water to every home,” the PM added.
