Aadhaar, Credit Card Rules: Several changes are announced by government and financial institutes over Aadhaar, credit cards & Cylinder Prices. Rules related to the Aadhaar card & credit card will change in September. Cylinder prices, CNG, ATF prices will also be updated in the month of September.

Aadhaar Free Update: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the free Aadhaar document update period by three months, from June 14 to September 14, 2024. The UIDAI website states, “Please update Aadhaar for continuous accuracy of demographic information. To update it, upload your proof of identity and address documents.” So In case you have not updated it so far, you still have to update your Aadhaar for free and after 14th September it may be chargable.

LPG Cylinder Price Adjustments: There are reports that LPG cylinder prices may be updated by oil companies in September. Mostly domestic users will see price adjustments, but businesses that use commercial cylinders may not see a major impact.

ATF and CNG-PNG Rates: People who are booking their Airplane tickets in the month of September may see changes in rates. As from September 1, revisions in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and CNG-PNG rates are expected. These changes may affect transportation costs and potentially influence the prices of goods and services.

Fraudulent Calls: New measures to deal with the fraudulent calls and messages will be implemented starting September 1. According to TRAI’s guidelines, telemarketing will shift to a blockchain-based system by September 30 to enhance security and reduce spam.

New Credit Card Rules: Big lenders have brought major changes in the rules related to their credit cards. A cap on reward points for utility transactions by HDFC Bank and changes in payment schedules by IDFC First Bank can be seen in this month. These updates will affect cardholders’ reward points and other benefits on credit cards.
