Ratan Tata's Group makes huge Deal, buys THIS Chinese company for Rs 8350000000

New Delhi: In a major development that will propel India forward in the field of chip manufacturing, Tata Electronics has announced a significant partnership. Tata Electronics will become Intel’s first major customer for two large chip plants. This news is being seen as the beginning of chip manufacturing in India. Both companies are also preparing to manufacture AI-powered computers on a large scale for Indian users.

Currently, most chips in India are imported, but now, thanks to the government’s Semiconductor Mission and Tata’s new factories, India can become self-reliant in chip manufacturing.

Tata Electronics building two large chip factories

Tata Electronics is working on building a large chip manufacturing factory in Gujarat and a chip assembly and testing plant in Assam. These two plants are worth approximately $14 billion. Intel will utilize these factories for its chip manufacturing in the future. Intel will provide its AI-related design technology, and Tata will handle the manufacturing.

This will make chip manufacturing in India much easier over time. Many countries and companies worldwide are looking to establish their supply chains outside of China, and this will prove to be a significant opportunity for India.

Who will benefit from this?

Regarding this deal, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said that India is becoming a major computer market in the world. The demand for AI-powered computers, in particular, is growing rapidly. This partnership will benefit both companies. Tata Electronics CEO Randhir Thakur said that this partnership will also benefit consumers as it will ensure timely product delivery, reduce costs, and bring new technologies to the market faster.

India’s Semiconductor Mission will be strengthened

Despite the huge consumption of electronics in India, chip manufacturing was not done in the country until now. To change this situation, the government launched the India Semiconductor Mission. Under this mission, more than 10 projects have already been approved. The partnership between Tata and Intel will benefit both companies, as well as the country and the government’s mission. This could potentially help India become one of the top 5 computer markets in the future.
