Zoho Corporation, the renowned cloud software company, announced a leadership transition on January 27. Co-founder Shailesh Kumar Davey will step into the role of Group CEO, succeeding Sridhar Vembu, who will now serve as Chief Scientist.

Sridhar Vembu made the announcement via a post on social media platform X, where he explained his decision to focus on the company’s research and development.
“I will step down as CEO of Zoho Corp and take a new role as Chief Scientist, responsible for deep R&D initiatives. Our co-founder Shailesh Kumar Davey will serve as our new Group CEO,” Vembu shared.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), graduating in 1992.

Professional Experience

Before becoming CEO, Davey held the position of Vice President of Engineering at ManageEngine, Zoho’s IT management division. He has also worked on network projects during his tenure at Tata-IBM, showcasing his diverse expertise.
