Mumbai, July 12: One of India’s largest telecom provider Bharti Airtel has announced Project Next, with the aim of putting the customer at the center and providing her/him with a unique experience across all its services in various India cities. The company plans to invest a total of Rs 2000 crores in the project over the next three years, and one of the initiatives of the project is the Postpaid Promise, that will allow customers to carry forward their unused data.

A press release by Airtel said on Tuesday customers will now be able to carry as much as 200GB of unused data forward to their next billing cycle. Users of postpaid as well as Airtel broadband can also bundle their accounts and get an additional 10GB free data for each account. ‘Airtel Promise’ also includes initiative called the ‘The Family Promise’, which will allow members of a family to save upto 20 per cent on mobile phone bills, by enrolling them under the same postpaid plan. The plan allows family members to get a single cumulative bill and pay it altogether, share internet data, track internet usage of each member and set limits on the usage, and of course, unlimited free voice calls.

Another initiative under Airtel Promise, the company will provide its postpaid customers with Security in terms of phone damage cover and anti virus protection, for a fee of Rs 49 per month. The provisions under Airtel Secure for postpaid users include 2GB cloud storage to back up all the important data, mobile repairs up to 60% of the phone value in case of accidents, doorstep pick up and delivery for repairs, and call assistance at any time of the day.

As part of Project Next, Airtel is also planning to enhance its in-store experience, from the ground up, with ‘next-gen’ Airtel stores designed by UK-based firm 8-inc. The same firm has also designed Apple stores. First two such stores are already operational in Gurugram, are these are completely digitised and highly interactive. All active Airtel stores will be divided into three zones- Share zone, Create zone and Experience zone.
