Amitabh Bachchan, known as the “Shahenshah of Bollywood,” has also established himself as a powerhouse in real estate. The legendary actor has invested heavily in properties across India and abroad, earning substantial returns through sales and rentals. Recently, he made headlines for selling a luxurious apartment in Mumbai for Rs 83 crore, which earned him a profit of Rs 52 crore.
This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has struck a significant property deal. Over the years, he has built a substantial portfolio of properties worth billions of rupees. Collaborating with his son, Abhishek Bachchan, the actor has acquired multiple properties, generating significant income through sales and leasing.
Amitabh Bachchan currently resides in his iconic bungalow Jalsa, located in Juhu, Mumbai. Spanning 10,125 square feet, the property is valued at approximately Rs 120 crore. The Bachchan family has lived in Jalsa for over 30 years. In addition to Jalsa, Amitabh owns three other bungalows in Mumbai, further solidifying his stature in the real estate world.
Amitabh Bachchan has made substantial investments in real estate in recent years. According to reports, Amitabh and Abhishek jointly invested Rs 100 crore in real estate in 2024 alone. Between 2020 and 2024, the actor reportedly invested Rs 200 crore in various properties.
Last year, the Bachchan family purchased property worth Rs 24.95 crore in Mumbai’s Mulund West. The acquisition included ten apartments, with six purchased by Abhishek for Rs 14.77 crore and the remaining by Amitabh. In the same year, Amitabh acquired a three-floor office space in Andheri West, Mumbai, for Rs 60 crore.
In 2024, Amitabh Bachchan bought 10,000 square feet of land in Ayodhya for approximately Rs 14.5 crore. Insiders reveal that he plans to build a home there. Beyond Ayodhya, the actor has also invested in properties in Delhi, Gurugram, Bhopal, and Prayagraj.
Amitabh Bachchan’s real estate ventures extend beyond Indian borders. According to reports, he owns a luxurious villa in Dubai. Additionally, he possesses an apartment in Paris, which was gifted to him by his wife, Jaya Bachchan.
