Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has recently been facing stiff competition from rival providers, especially BSNL and Bharti Airtel. However, Jio is known for its user-friendly tariff plans which has made it India’s largest telecom provider. Now, Jio has launched another pocket-friendly recharge plan to counter similar plans by its rivals.

We’re talking about the Rs 11 data-booster pack which offers 10 GB of high-speed data to users at just Rs 11.

Jio Rs 11 recharge

Jio’s Rs 11 recharge is essentially a data-booster addon which can only be used with your existing prepaid plan. Rs 11 top-up offers 10GB of high-speed 4G data which is valid for 1 hour, means you’ll have to exhaust the 10GB data within an hour.

The Rs 11 data-booster from Jio is similar to Airtel Rs 11 data pack which offers same benefits and also carries a similar validity of just 1 hour. Meanwhile, BSNL offers 2 GB high-speed data for Rs 16 which is valid for one day or 24 hours.

BSNL giving stiff competition to Jio

Over the past few months, BSNL, which has witnessed a resurgence of late, has posed stiff competition to Jio with its competitive pricing, prompting Mukesh Ambani to introduce new Jio recharge plans, aimed to attract users who shifted to BSNL in large numbers after mobile tariffs were raised by a significant margin earlier in July this year.

According to reports, BSNL added over 55 million new users between July and August with Reliance Jio bearing the brunt of the losses, losing over 40 lakh users during the same period.

Recently, in a bid to counter BSNL’s rising popularity and growing user base, Jio launched another cheap tariff plan, offering unlimited calling, 2 GB of high-speed data with no daily cap (unlimited at 64 kbps post exhaustion), along with 300 free SMS at just Rs 173. The tariff plan also offers access to Jio’s supplementary services like JioCloud, JioCinema, and JioTV for a month.
