Apple to Release iOS 12 Update Tonight, Check Details to Download Update

The new iOS version is a mobile operating system designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

New Delhi: Apple iOS 12 is set to roll out tonight and will be available for the general public to download the update. The new iOS version is a mobile operating system designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. The new operating system can be downloaded from 10.30 pm IST in India and is available on all compatible devices such as iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X (2017).

The list of iPads that are compatible with the new iOS version is iPad Mini 2, 3 and 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad 6th and 5th generation. Other devices that are compatible with the latest version of the update includes Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch first and second generation, iPad Pro in 9.7-inches and 10.5-inches and finally the iPod Touch 6th generation.

On 12 September, Apple introduced iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR which are a brand new lineup of iPhone series. These new iPhone devices will run on iOS 12 update from September 21 onwards. Though the iPhone XS series is available for sale from September 28 in India, pre-orders can be made from September 21. As per reports, the size of the Apple iOS 12 update is around 2.77GB. The user has to back up all the data before downloading iOS 12 on the iPhone or iPad. The user can delete unwanted apps to get extra storage space in their device. The back up can be performed on iTunes or by using an iCloud account if the storage space is sufficient.

1. You can update the latest iOS version over-the-air (OTA) if there is WiFi network.
2. Click on the Settings option in the device.
3. Now Select General section.
4. You will find the Software update.
5. Download the new version and click install.

Users can otherwise download the update through iTunes by plugging their iOS device into their Mac or Windows devices.
