Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that train services on the Yellow Line will experience temporary regulations to facilitate civil work on a 490-meter section of the Janakpuri West to R K Ashram Corridor of Phase-IV. This move comes as part of the ongoing infrastructure development efforts by DMRC. Adjustments on the Yellow Line, which connects Millennium City Centre in Gurugram with Samaypur Badli in Delhi, will be implemented during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The focus of the construction work will be on a specific segment that involves the alignment crossing over the Haiderpur Badli Mor metro station on the Yellow Line.
“In order to undertake the planned civil work on a 490-metre section of the Janakpuri West to R K Ashram Corridor of Phase-IV, where the alignment crosses over the Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro station on the Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli – Millennium City Centre Gurugram), train services on the Yellow Line will be briefly regulated on the intervening night of 20th/21st July 2024,” announced DMRC.

Saturday, July 20: The last train will depart earlier than usual. From Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram, the last train will leave at 10:45 pm instead of 11:00 pm. Similarly, the last train from Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Samaypur Badli will depart at 9:30 pm instead of the usual 11:00 pm.
Sunday, July 21: The first train service will commence later than usual. The first train from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will start at 7:00 am instead of 6:00 am. Additionally, there will be no train services available between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri after 11:00 pm on Saturday night.
During the upcoming construction period on the Yellow Line metro route, services from Jahangirpuri to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will remain unaffected, ensuring regular train operations for commuters. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has put in place measures to minimize passenger inconvenience, including timely announcements at stations and inside trains regarding any changes in destinations and platforms.
The DMRC reassures passengers that their convenience is a top priority, especially during complex engineering projects that involve crossing over or under operational corridors. These construction activities are meticulously planned to take place during night hours within a specific timeframe after the cessation of passenger services and before they resume the following day.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and stay updated with announcements for a smooth transit experience during this period.
“A similar adjustment was planned last month and one more revision of timings may also be required at a later stage to complete the remaining work on this 490 -metre section,” reads DMRCs social media post.
