Beer Prices Set To Rise By Rs 30 In This State; Premium Liquor Rates May Drop, Claims Report

The Siddaramaiah govt is set to increase in beer prices and a reduction in premium liquor prices, to boost revenue of the state government.

Liquor Prices: Beer prices in Karnataka are expected to rise soon by around Rs.10 to Rs.30 per bottle. However premium liquor may get cheaper after the state government revises the rates, claims report.

The proposed liquor price revision in Karnataka aims to boost Indian Made Liquor sales and excise revenue. The Siddaramaiah govt is set to effect an increase in beer prices and a reduction in premium liquor prices.

According to The Hindu report, Beer prices will rise around ₹10 to ₹30 per bottle, however the state government can reduce the prices of premium liquor by 20 percent. The state government has proposed the revision to boost Indian Made Liquor sales and excise revenue.
