BREAKING: Amul Raises Milk Prices by ₹3 Per Litre

New Delhi: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which is famous for its Amul brand, has increased the price of milk by Rs 3 per litre to Rs 66 per litre.  Previously, the price of full cream milk was Rs 63 per litre.

“We would like to inform you that price of Amul Pouch Milk (All Variants) has been revised upwards as under w.e.f. 02nd Feb 23 night dispatch (3 Feb’23 Morning),” the company said in a statement.

Following the hike, Amul cow milk is now available at Rs 56 per litre, Amul Taaza at Rs 54 per litre and Amul A2 Buffalo Milk at Rs 70 per litre. The hike comes a day after Union Finance Minister presented Union Budget.

The milk brand had increased the milk prices by Rs 2 per litre in October 2022. Mother Dairy had also hiked prices to compensate for the increase in procurement costs. Before that, the prices were increased in August.

Yesterday, dairy firm Parag Milk Foods raised the price of the Gowardhan brand of cow milk by Rs 2 per litre.
