BSNL Launches Rs 19 Tariff Plan With Low Voice Calling Rates, 54 Days Validity

Under STV 19, outgoing on-net calls to BSNL numbers will be priced at 15 paise per minute, whereas off-net calls to other networks will cost 35 paise per minute. The plan does not have any data benefit.

Amid cut-throat competition, state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a Special Tariff Voucher (STV) for all prepaid users who can now avail low rates for voice calls at just Rs 19. The new Rs 19 STV is available in Chennai and Tamil Nadu regions till October 11 and will be valid for 54 days from the date of activation.

Under the plan, outgoing on-net calls to BSNL numbers will be priced at 15 paise per minute, whereas off-net calls to other networks will cost 35 paise per minute. The plan does not have any data benefit.

‘On-Net’ used to describe calls or messages from your operator’s network to another number with the home operator netwotk. ‘Off-Net’ applies when the call or message is made on a different network.

The special tariff is available in the home circle and when on roaming, except in Mumbai and Delhi. After the expiry of 54 days voice calling rates will be in line with standard rates.

BSNL has other plans also at Rs 39, Rs 99 and Rs 319. The Rs 39 plan has 10 days validity, the Rs 99 plan is for 26 days, whereas the Rs 319 plan is valid for 90 days.

All these special tariff plans offer unlimited voice calling, both in home and roaming network.
