Jiostar new recharge plan: In a matter of good news for cricket fans across the nation, Mukesh Ambani’s Jio Hotstar has introduced a new data-only recharge plan that gives the special benefit of a 90-day Jio Hotstar subscription along with 5GB of data for Rs 100. For those unversed, JioStar, the recently formed JV with the merger of Viacom18 and Star India announced the launch of JioHotstar, merging JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar. Here are all the details you need to know about the new recharge plan of Reliance Jio giving Jiostar subscription.

New Jiohostar plan

The new Reliance Jio plan, listed on Jio.com with 90-day validity, allows Jiostar streaming on smartphones and smart TVs at up to 1080p resolution. Unlike the Rs 149 Jio Hotstar mobile plan offered by the company, which can only be accessed on phone, this offers a better viewing experience at lower price. Compared to the Rs 299 Jio Hotstar Super plan, it provides great value, especially for the once who are unwilling to pay the extra cost.

Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema join hands, announce new platform JioHotstar

As discussed earlier, JioStar, the recently formed JV with the merger of Viacom18 and Star India, on Friday morning formerly announced the launch of JioHotstar, bringing together the streaming platforms JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.

The new platform now comprises close to 3 lakh hours of entertainment, live sports coverage, and more than 50 crore users, according to a statement.

“At the core of JioHotstar is a powerful vision—to make premium entertainment truly accessible to all Indians. Our promise of Infinite Possibilities ensures that entertainment is no longer a privilege, but a shared experience for all. By integrating AI-driven recommendations and offering streaming in over 19 languages, we are personalizing content like never before,” Kiran Mani, CEO – Digital, JioStar said on the launch of JioHotstar.

JioHotstar provides subscription plans tailored to diverse audience needs, starting at Rs. 149/quarter. Existing JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar subscribers will be able to seamlessly transition and set up their JioHotstar subscriptions.
