Who is Kushal Pal Singh?

Kushal Pal Singh, fondly called KP Singh, is the Chairman Emeritus of the DLF, India’s largest real-estate firm, often credited with developing Gurgaon (now Gurugram) into the city that we see today.

KP began his journey in the real-estate world in 1961, when he quit the Indian Army and joined DLF, a firm started by his father-in-law Chaudhary Raghavendra Singh in 1946, and over the years, took the company to soaring heights. After joining DLF, Kushal Pal Singh launched a slew of projects, ranging from budget housing to luxury malls, also built the DLF City in Gurgaon, his showpiece township on the outskirts of Delhi, by acquiring land from farmers.

Initially, under Singh’s leadership, DLF developed 22 urban colonies in Delhi, and later expanded across the country by acquiring residential, commercial and retail projects in 15 states and 24 cities, establishing itself as largest real-estate company in India

In 2020, Kushal Pal Singh stepped down as the Chairman of DLF after over five decades, and currently holds the position of Chairman Emeritus of the company.

Singh, who lost his wife to cancer, lives mostly between London and Dubai, shocked everyone when he revealed that he was in a relationship with a young woman named Sheena, confessing that he fell in love for the second time in his life after his wife’s tragic demise.
