New Delhi: Soon after his meeting with Nirmala Sitharaman, Delhi Finance Minister Manish Sisodia asserted that the national capital should be included in the Finance Commission so that ‘it gets its share of central taxes’. Notably, this was Delhi government’s first meeting with Sitharaman after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in the Union Territory. Briefing the media about his meeting with the Union Finance Minister, Sisodia said,”There was a positive dialogue over issues related to the development of Delhi with the Union Finance Minister. Furthermore, the AAP leader Sisodia stated that more funds have been sought for the civic bodies of Delhi so that sanitation workers, teachers and doctors can be paid and the Yamuna can be cleaned.
