New Delhi: More than 100 IndiGo flights were affected at 8 airports across the country on Wednesday, 03 December 2025, sometimes due to technical issues and sometimes due to crew shortages. 11 flights were cancelled in Indore, 19 in Hyderabad, 8 in Surat, 25 in Ahmedabad, 42 in Bengaluru, and 10 in Kolkata.
IndiGo Airlines issued a statement saying that flights were affected due to bad weather, system glitches, and new staffing regulations. We apologize for the inconvenience. Operations will be fully restored within the next 48 hours.
DGCA seeks explanation
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has sought a response from the airline. This problem with IndiGo flights has been ongoing since last month. In November, 1,272 flights were cancelled. Of these, 755 flights were cancelled due to crew shortages and changes in staff duty schedules.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has established new pilot work regulations, known as Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL). These were implemented in two phases.
