New Delhi: Bengaluru-headquartered cab aggregator Ola has announced the launch of its ‘Drive The Driver’ campaign to help its driver community, which suddenly finds itself with no work to do, in the wake of the 21-day nationwide lockdown announced by the government to wrest the spread of the contagious coronavirus pandemic. The company has launched the campaign under the aegis of its social welfare arm, the Ola Foundation. The drive would see the ride-hailing giant provide essentials and emergency support to it drivers and their families. Additionally, the drivers and their families will also be given free medical consultation as a part of this initiative. Necessary steps would also be taken to provide education to their children. Under this initiative, the Ola group and its employees would contribute a total of Rs 20 crore. Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO and co-founder of Ola, has already announced that he would be contributing his one-year salary towards the fund. Step 3: Choose from among the four options given (Rs 500, Rs 1,000, Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000) or choose amount of your choice

Step 4: You will be directed to a new page when you click on the amount you want to donate

Step 5: Enter the details asked for (also enter amount, if you chose amount of your choice)

Step 6: Press ‘Pay Now’

Among the options given, while Rs 500 are for a single family, Rs 1,000 are for two families. Similarly, Rs 1,500 are for three families and Rs 2,000 for four.
