The purchase by Soumya Narayanan highlights the rising trend of high-value property investments among tech leaders in Bangalore developing its reputation as a hub for luxury living.

There is a growing trend of tech entrepreneurs and executives investing in premium residential properties. In 2022, Soumya Narayanan, wife of Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy, had acquired a luxurious villa in Bengaluru for approximately Rs 8 crore, according to a report by Zapkey.com.

The villa is located in the Adarsh Palm Retreat Villas project, a prestigious gated community on the Marathahalli Outer Ring Road. Spread across 110 acres, the community comprises 800 red-roofed ‘Victorian villas,’ in the area which is famous among India’s tech leaders.

Details Of Property

The villa boasts a built-up area of 4,921 sq ft on a 6,918 sq ft plot. It features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, dual kitchens, and additional spaces such as puja, living, dining, family, office, and media rooms. It also includes a garage and a utility room.

The property was sold by one Vijay Israni, with the sale deed registered on March 4, 2022, according to a report by Moneycontrol.

Adarsh Palm Retreat has become a favored destination for unicorn founders and executives, with villas priced between Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 8 crore. Like Srinath Ramakkrushnan, co-founder of Zetwerk, who purchased a villa for Rs 5.8 crore. Sourjyendu Medda, founder and chief business officer of DealShare, who acquired a unit for Rs 7.45 crore in December 2021.

Karthik Vugane, managing director of NetApp India, who bought the property for Rs 4.21 crore. Sandeep Singhal of Avaana Capital, who purchased a villa for Rs 8.75 crore.Ramakant Sharma, co-founder of Livspace, who bought a unit for Rs 7.1 crore in November 2021. Vidit Aatrey, founder-CEO of Meesho, who acquired a villa for Rs 5 crore in January 2020.

Residential locations like Koramangala, HSR Layout, and Indiranagar offer  better workspaces and living options, attracting a growing number of startup founders and executives.
