Gautam Adani salary: Gautam Adani is the second richest man in India, and the 23rd wealthiest globally, with a net worth of $67.1 billion, according to Forbes. But did you know that the Adani Group Chairman earns less salary than several top executives of his company?

According to the annual report released by Adani Group companies, Gautam Adani received a total salary of Rs 10.41 crore in the financial year 2024-25, a 12% increase from the Rs 9.26 crore salary he received in the last fiscal.

The billionaire’s salary came from only two of the nine listed companies of Adani Group. Gautam Adani earned a total of Rs 2.54 crore from Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) in 2024-25, including Rs 2.26 crore in salary and Rs 28 lakh worth of allowances. In the last fiscal, Adani had earned a total of Rs 2.46 crore from AEL.

A major chunk of Gautam Adani’s earnings in FY 24-25 came from Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ). The Adani Group boss earned a total of Rs 7.87 crore from APSEZ, including Rs 1.8 crore salary and Rs 6.07 crore in commissions. In FY23-24, Adani’s total earnings from APSEZ stood at Rs 6.8 crore.

Gautam Adani earns less salary than Adani Group execs

Notably, Gautam Adani’s salary is significantly lower than many top executives of his Adani Group. According to details, AEL CEO Vinay Prakash’s total earning for FY24-25 stood at a staggering Rs 69.34 crore, including Rs 4 crore in salary and Rs 65.34 crore in allowances and variable incentives.

Vineet S Jain, Managing Director, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), received Rs 11.23 crore in total annual earning, while Adani Group CFO Jugeshinder Singh earned Rs 10.4 crore in FY24-25.

How much did Adani’s brothers, son, and nephews earn?

Gautam Adani’s son, Karan Adani, received a total of Rs 7.09 crore from APSEZ, while the company’s CEO Ashwani Gupta earned Rs 10.34 crore. Both Karan and Gupta will get variable pay for FY25 in FY26, according to the firm’s annual report.

Meanwhile, Gautam Adani ‘s younger brother Rajesh Adani earned Rs 9.87 crore from AEL, while his nephew Pranav Adani got Rs 7.45 crore, and another nephew Sagar Adani earned Rs 7.50 crore from AGEL.
