GM Rao hails from a small town in Andhra Pradesh built an expansive business empire. According to Forbes Real-Time Net Worth, his total wealth stands at USD 2.9 billion (approximately Rs 25,060 crore), making him one of India’s richest individuals.
The GMR Group is the world’s second-largest private airport operator. It also plays a significant role in India’s energy sector. The group has leveraged the public-private partnership model to lead cutting-edge projects in key sectors such as energy, transportation, airports, and urban infrastructure.
