When user name Sukumar Das asked a question to EPFO on their official account on social media platform ‘X’ ‘Sir my question is when EPFO interest of subscribers FY-2023-24 will be credited? This will improve the image of EPFO & subscribers will bless the Central Govt.’
The EPFO EPF responded to the user and said, “ Dear member, The process is in pipeline and may be shown there very shortly. Whenever the interest will be credited, it will be accumulated and paid in full. There would be no loss of interest.”
EPFO has also ensured that interest rates will be accumulated and paid in full, so EPF members need not have to worry about it. As there will be no loss of interest in this.
The EPFO increased the interest rate by 10 BPS this year to 8.25% for 2023-24 from the previous year’s rate of 8.15%. This is the highest EPF interest rate in the last three years.
Last year, according to the EPFO,, the interest for Financial Year 2022-23 was provided to 28.17 crore members accounts of EPFO as on date.
The subscribers can check their PF balance on the UMANG App.
1: Download and install Umang app
2: Register your mobile number on it
3: Choose “EPFO” from the options
4: Click “View Passbook.”
5: After entering your UAN, click Get OTP.
6: Select “Login.”
Your passbook and EPF balance will be shown on the screen.
Login onto the EPFO website and click on “Member Passbook.” Enter your UAN and password, here you can check PF passbook. It will also show Employee and employer contributions, as well as opening and closing balances.
If your UAN is registered with the EPFO, you can send an SMS to 7738299899. In the message box type ‘UAN EPFOHO ENG’. The first three letters of the requested language are “ENG.” To receive the message in Marathi, enter EPFOHO UAN MAR. Check that your bank account, Aadhaar, and PAN are seeded into your UAN.
