Honor 7X to be Available in India on Amazon From December 7; Price, Availability, Specs and More

New Delhi, December 4: Smartphone maker Huawei has announced that its much anticipated Honor 7X will be made available in India this week. The company is hosting an event in London to announce the new launch. The smartphone will be launched in India on December 5. E-commerce major Amazon India will exclusively begin the sale of the new Honor 7X smartphone on December 7 at 12 PM. The prices in India are yet to be announced. However, the 32GB Honor 7X is available in China with a price tag of CNY 1,299  which is about Rs 12,700.

Huawei unveiled the Honor 7X in China last month in three storage variant- 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options. To lure customers, Amazon India began the registration process for the Honor 7X earlier this month, offering huge discounts and exciting offers. Noor Patel, director of category management, Amazon India, in a press statement said,  “Reiterating our exclusive partnership with Honor, post successfully launching their flagship devices like Honor 6X, Honor 8 Pro, etc. We are now thrilled to offer our customers exclusive access to yet another impressive device, the Honor 7X”.

The new Honor 7X smartphone comes with a 5.93-inch display with a full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution in an 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset features a 3340mAh battery and has dual-SIM support with 4G network access. Reports state that the Android 7.0 Nougat-based smartphone runs Huawei’s proprietary EMUI 5.1 custom skin. The smartphone features an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor. It comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel image sensors. An 8-megapixel camera sensor is available on the front.

Huawei claims to have almost doubled shipments of Honor smartphones in India this year as compared to 2016. Huawei sells Honor smartphones online and plans to further ramp up its manufacturing facility in India. Reports by PTI state that Honor is planning to start selling artificial intelligence (AI) enabled smartphones in India early next year which, it says, will be able to sense who is using the phone, translate messages as per preference of the phone owner etc.
