Mumbai, June 12: Low-cost airline, IndiGo has launched its latest sale to woo flyers during the pre-monsoon season. The sale period is from June 12 to June 14 for a travel period between 1 July 2017 and 30 September 2017. The fares are set at an all-time low, with prices beginning at Rs 899.
The sale’s launch comes at a time when competing airlines including Jet Airways, SpiceJet and GoAir have announced similar promotional offers across their networks. IndiGo itself had launched a similar sale earlier during the month.
IndiGo’s chief commercial officer, Sanjay Kumar, was reported by TOI as having said, “After receiving a positive response on the summer special sale, we are delighted to announce another three-day monsoon special offer. We are anticipating an increase in demand beyond summer vacations and are pleased to introduce special fares.”
According to IndiGo the offer is valid only on non-stop flights from Agartala, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Dibrugarh, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata,Kozhikode, Lucknow,Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.
The cheapest fares under the offer are for flights from Bagdora to Guwahati that have been priced at Rs 899. However, air fares between metro hubs have also been priced cheaply. Flights from Mumbai to Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru have been tagged at Rs 2299, Rs 1999, Rs 3699 and Rs 1899 respectively.
Meanwhile, flights from Delhi to Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram and Bengaluru will cost passengers Rs 3399, Rs 2199, Rs 3097, Rs 4099 and Rs 2899 each. The sale extends similar rates for flights from other airport hubs including Bengaluru, Kolkata nad Chennai.
