LPG, PNG Prices City Wise: Domestic cooking gas prices increased by Rs 29 per cylinder. The OMCs increased the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders on June 1 by Rs 42 to Rs 53.50 per cylinder.

LPG, PNG Prices Today: Amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia, the prices of domestic and commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders remain unchanged on Wednesday. The global oil prices eased further following the positive progress in the US-Iran peace talks. The Indian government has not made any changes in LPG prices since June 7. The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) increased the domestic gas cylinder prices by Rs 29 due to severe under-recoveries, marking the second increase in the last three months. The first revision of Rs 60 was done on March 7.
The oil marketing companies hiked the prices of 19-Kg commercial cylinders by around Rs 42 following the latest revision in the wake of rising energy costs and supply disruptions across the Strait.
It is to be noted that the ongoing war between US and Iran disrupted energy supplies from West Asia, causing India's LPG imports to decline to as low as 696,000 tonnes in April from around 2 million tonnes per month. Since the beginning of the war (February 28), the cost of commercial cylinder increased by 79 percent as it follows the Saudi Contract Price (CP).

Number Of India-Bound Ships Crossing Hormuz Revealed
As many as 11 India-bound ships transited and crossed through the crucial Strait of Hormuz following US-Iran peace deal last week.
On Tuesday, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, "Since the signing of the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) on June 17, 11 India bound vessels have transited through the Strait of Hormuz," PTI reported.
The ships that crossed the Persian Gulf include three Indian-flagged crude oil tankers, one foreign-flagged LPG carrier, one foreign-flagged crude oil tanker and six foreign-flagged bulk carriers.
Jaiswal added that 10 Indian-flagged vessels are still sailing in the Persian Gulf region and two commercial vessels recently reached the region.
