Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio, known for its pocket-friendly tariff plans, has launched a long-term validity plan for users who prefer to avoid the hassle of monthly recharges, and want a tariff plan which is also light on the wallet. Keeping these subscribers in mind, Mukesh Ambani-owned Jio has launched the Rs 1,899 plan, which carries a validity of 336 days, essentially translating to just Rs 5.6 per day, truly providing value-for-money to users.
As mentioned above Jio’s Rs 1,899 plan carries a validity of 336 days, offering unlimited voice calls to any network within the country, 24GB of high-speed 4G data (unlimited @64kbps after user exhausts high-speed data), 3,600 SMS messages, along with access to Jio’s complimentary services including JioTV JioCinema and JioCloud, etc.
The 1899 plan translates to a monthly cost of Rs 172 or just Rs 5.6 per day, which is far cheaper than what is being offered by rival telecom providers like Airtel and Vodafone-Idea (Vi).
However, its should be noted that the plan is primarily geared towards users with moderate internet usage, while those with higher data needs will certainly find the plan lacking in that department.
For users who prefer long-term validity along with unlimited high-speed 5G data Jio has launched the Rs 3,999 and Rs 3,599 plans, both carrying a validity of 365 days and offering unlimited 5G data, unlimited voice calls to any network within India, free SMS, and more.
Jio’s Rs 3,599 Plan carries a long-term validity of 365 days, offering 2.5GB daily high-speed 4G data along with unlimited 5G data in supported areas for users with 5G-compatible handsets.
The plan also offers free unlimited voice calls to any network within the country, 100 free SMS daily, free nationwide roaming, along with access to Jio’s supplementary services such as JioTV, JioCloud, and JioCinema.
Akin to the Rs 3,599 Plan, Jio’s Rs 3,999 Plan also comes with a year-long validity and offers similar benefits, but also a free subscription to FanCode via the JioTV app.
Apart from the above mentioned plans, Mukesh Ambani-led Jio has also launched the New Year Welcome Plan, offering free unlimited voice calls, SMS, 2.5GB of daily high-speed data bundled with unlimited 5G data for eligible users, 100 free daily SMS, and more for 200 days at just Rs 2025.
Additionally, Jio’s Rs 2025 New Year Welcome Plan comes bundled with coupons worth Rs 2150 which can be redeemed to avail discounts on shopping and travel on partner sites.
Mukesh Ambani’s new Jio recharge plans are aimed attracting attract users who shifted to BSNL in large numbers after mobile tariffs were raised by a significant margin earlier in July last year. According to reports, BSNL added over 55 million new users between July and August with Reliance Jio bearing the brunt of the losses, losing over 40 lakh users during the same period.
