Success Story: Dreaming big is easy, but achieving it takes a lot of effort and sacrifice. There are very few people who achieve their dreams and become successful. They become role models for others, and their success story inspires millions of dreamers. One such person is Anushka Jaiswal, who refused college placements and chased her dream. Let’s know her story.

Who Is Anushka Jaiswal?

Anushka Jaiswal is a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. She earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. In 2017, during the placement season, she expected to secure a good job, but she didn’t accept a single offer. The 29-year-old’s goal was clear she wanted to do something big at the grassroots level. Anushka studied French but didn’t find satisfaction and returned home.

A drastic change came in her life when she grew some plants, including tomatoes, on her terrace. She started enjoying garden farming, considering farming as her career. Today, she earns around Rs 1 crore annually.

Anushka Jaiswal Got Help From…

While having evening tea, Anushka shared her interest with her brother. He encouraged her and told her pursue with her dream. She then pursued a horticulture course at the Institute of Horticulture Technology in Noida. After completing her course and other additional agriculture-related courses, Anushka started a polyhouse farm on one acre of land in 2020. Over the years, she earned a reputation in Lucknow, providing special vegetables to people.

At the age of 24 she started growing  English cucumbers. In her first harvest, she achieved a yield of 51 tons. As per Anushka, it was three times the yield achieved by conventional farmers.

Encouraged by her initial success, she also started growing other vegetables. Today, she produces over 200 tons of bell peppers each year.

Today, Anushka expanded farming and grows vegetables on 6 acres of land. As per media reports, she recorded a turnover exceeding Rs 1 crore in financial year 2023–24.
