Venus Wang, a 37-year-old woman based in the US, has an inspiring story of transformation during a challenging period. Once a newly divorced and unemployed single mother with less than $10,000 in savings, Wang now earns a staggering $1 million (approximately Rs 8.7 crore) annually while working in the AI division of a major tech company.

Venus Wang Early Life

Born and raised in Kaifeng, central China, Wang’s journey to success began when she moved to the US in 2013 to pursue an MBA at Duke University. After graduating in 2015, she landed a six-figure job as a sourcing manager in the hardware division of a Seattle-based tech company.

In 2020, Wang left her job to relocate to New York City for her husband’s career and focus on raising her daughter. However, the pandemic and personal circumstances led to her divorce in 2021, as reported by CNBC Make It.

Turning Point

The divorce marked a major identity shift for Wang, transitioning from being a spouse to a single mother. She relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and reentered the tech workforce, to rebuild her career.
