Thakur Manoj Singh, famously known as the Gold Man, has become a sensation for his extravagant gold jewelry and remarkable success story. Rising from humble beginnings, he transformed his life through relentless hard work, building a business empire and earning the admiration of many.
Born in the village of Kutlu, in Chauparan Block of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, Manoj came from a financially struggling family. At the age of 18, driven by the need to support his family, he moved to Mumbai in search of work. However, the initial days were far from easy. With no job opportunities, Manoj resorted to labor work, carrying goods on his shoulders or carts. Often, he had to spend nights on the streets of Mumbai.
Eventually, Manoj found employment in a transport company, where he gained valuable experience in the logistics sector. With a deep understanding of the industry, he decided to start his own venture in 2010. Beginning with a small operation transporting goods between Mumbai and Rajkot, he poured his energy into growing the business.
Through sheer determination, Manoj’s transport company expanded rapidly. Today, the company owns over 100 trucks and provides employment to more than 500 people. His business success has earned him recognition as one of Maharashtra’s prominent entrepreneurs.
Beyond his business achievements, Manoj Singh is deeply connected to his roots. With approximately 1.5 million people from Jharkhand living in Mumbai and surrounding areas, he has become a prominent figure among the community. In 2014, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and proposed the formation of a Jharkhand Cell within the Maharashtra BJP. The proposal was accepted, and on January 7, 2021, the Jharkhand Cell was established, with Manoj Singh appointed as its president.
As the president of the BJP’s Jharkhand Cell in Maharashtra, Manoj has worked tirelessly to unify the Jharkhand community in the state. He organizes annual events through the Jharkhand Cell, attended by prominent BJP leaders from Jharkhand. Manoj proudly calls Jharkhand his “janmabhoomi” (birthplace) and Maharashtra his “karmabhoomi” (workplace).
Manoj Singh gained the moniker Gold Man due to his fondness for heavy gold jewelry, which he often wears at public events. He recently made headlines when he attended a BJP event in Ranchi on the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, adorned with massive gold ornaments, catching everyone’s attention.
