Veteran industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, is the richest man in Rajasthan, boasting a net worth of $22 billion, as of September 13, 2025, according to Forbes Real Time Billionaires List. The Aditya Birla Group has deep roots in Rajasthan, and its cement, mining and metal industries form the backbone of the state’s industrial development.
Another prominent name on Rajasthan’s rich list is steel baron Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, who resides in London, UK, but has roots in Rajasthan’s Churu district. Lakshmi Mittal, who serves as the Executive Chairman of steel and mining giant ArcelorMittal, has a net worth of $19.9 billion, making him the second-richest man in Rajasthan.
Third on the list is telecom tycoon Sunil Bharti Mittal, the Bharti Airtel chairman originally hails from Ludhiana in Punjab, but has ancestral roots in Rajasthan. Sunil Mittal’s Airtel is the second-largest telecom service provider in India after Mukesh Ambani’s Jio, and has expanded its network across parts of South Asia and Africa. Sunil Mittal has a net worth of $13.6 billion.
The Piramal family, the in-laws of Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani, are the fourth richest in Rajasthan with a net worth of $11 billion. Ajay Piramal and his son Anand Piramal, the husband of Isha Ambani, lead the Piramal Group, an expansive conglomerate with business interests spanning across pharmaceuticals, hospitals, and luxury real estate.
